The Government is being urged to rethink its strategy on tackling criminal re-offending. The spending watchdog Audit Scotland has criticised inflexibility and leadership in the way services are provided to reduce re-offending. A disease which has the potential to devastate the country's Ash tree population has now been confirmed at seven sites in Scotland. In other news, 43 jobs are under threat at a Dundee printing and packaging supplies manufacturer. Flint Group today launched a 30 day consultation with staff at its Day International factory in Old Glamis Road. And finally in sport, Gordon Strachan says he'd be honoured to land the Scotland manager's job. Strachan's out of work and would welcome the opportunity to speak to the SFA.
